Deleting your data

The short version

Signed in? Go to Settings → Delete your data — delete one site's data or close the account; account close has a 7-day undo window before the purge. If you cannot sign in, email contact@auditry.com and we will handle the same request. You can also disconnect any data source at any time; disconnecting destroys its keys immediately and on its own.

Disconnect a data source

This works the same way for every source you can connect — Meta, Google, and the rest.

1. Sign in to your Auditry dashboard.
2. Go to Connectors.
3. Find the source you want to remove and open its Disconnect panel.

What happens the moment you confirm: we tell the provider to revoke our access, and we destroy the stored keys for that connection. We stop pulling new data immediately, because there is no longer anything to pull with. Every disconnection is written to an append-only audit log: our code can add an entry to it and read it back, and has no way to change or remove one — a build check fails if anyone ever adds that ability.

What disconnecting does not do, stated plainly: the reports we already pulled stay in your dashboard, so that disconnecting a source does not silently wipe your own history out from under you. If you want those erased too, ask us — that is the next section, and it is a request we act on rather than argue with.

Delete your account and everything in it

Signed in? Go to Settings → Delete your data — delete one site's data or close the account; account close has a 7-day undo window before the purge. If you cannot sign in, email contact@auditry.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”, from the address you signed up with. We delete the connection keys, the stored reports and crawl results, and the account record itself, and we email you to confirm when it is done. There is no retention team and nobody whose job is to talk you out of it.

Want the data before it goes? Export it first — one click in the dashboard gives you a readable JSON file of your sites and reports, yours to keep. One export carries your 200 most recent reports, and the file itself tells you when there were more; ask us if you want the rest and we will get them to you. We would rather you left with your data than without it.

Deleting only one site's data

Signed in? Use Settings → Delete your data and choose the site. If you cannot sign in, say which site in the same email. Its connectors, reports, crawl results, and history go; the rest of your account stays exactly as it is.

What we never do with it

We do not sell your data, we do not pool it with anyone else's, and we do not use it to train general-purpose AI models. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
